There is a stove, microwave and fridge at the site. We will mostly be ordering takeaways, but there is also a Co-op Local nearby to get snacks and drinks from. Check the Timetable for food ordering information.
Bring a pillow, sleeping bag and rollmat / inflatable mattress. There is a room separate from the main hall which will primarily be used for sleeping, but we can also sleep in the main room. BRING EARPLUGS!
There isn’t a shower there, so make sure you freshen up before coming! There are toilets with sinks, and a single disabled toilet.
Wet-wipes / student showers are a necessity.
Tables will be on a first-come, first-served basis. I will be tracking the amount of tables required judging by the Sign-Ups I receive, so people who confirm first will definitely get a table!
If the number of confirmations surpasses the amount of space available, I will halt Sign-Ups until additional tables are sourced. Don’t worry about not getting a table (unless you haven’t told me you’re coming!).
There is a small amount of car parking space, but if the ground is dry we can park a few cars alongside the fence. We’ve also been asked not to park in the estate immediately outside the hall, but we can park further up the street. We need to leave the front gate and entrance accessible to emergency services.
It’s quite near a bus stop, the 42 (TO STOCKPORT! Don’t get the 42 which stops at East Didsbury) from Manchester Piccadilly Gardens stops near. Stockport Train Station is also close by, and a lift from a fellow punter can be readily sourced.
No smoking or vaping inside the Scout Hut.
There will be a limited amount of internet available for emergencies, but should NOT be used for updating (it will be working off my mobile internet, 10GB limit). Most of the games we’ll be playing are playable offline. I should be able to keep an eye on usage, but last time we had ~16 PCs, and used <7GB (good going!).
